What is FlexTalk?

FlexTalk is a place where Flex developers can talk shop about their current interests and challenges with fellow Flex developers. It is envisioned as an active dialog on a set of topics submitted and selected for every event by the attending group by a vote of interest.

How does it work? What is the format?

Every FlexTalk lasts for two hours and has four half-hour slots. Four topics which get the most votes get to be discussed. The person that submitted one of the selected topics gets to present the case for 5 minutes, code and examples included if needed, and the rest of the half an hour everybody gets to work on solving the case through dialogue and on site tests.

There will be a projector and wireless connection available so you can hook up to any remote sources and share your screen with the crew if you need to.

There will be a moderator who will make sure that the dialogue goes well.

Everything discussed at the FlexTalk will be shared on chicagoflex.org through a podcast for further discussion so make sure not to share any sensitive material like your companies' secrets or some sensitive database records.

Flash Camp Chicago is a full-day event for Flex developers and the Flex-curious.Come learn more about Flex, whether you're just beginning or already experienced, and meet others in the Chicago Flex community.
